Young Singers Wanted!
If you are a young singer in Washington, Multnomah or any of the surrounding counties, we would love to talk to you about joining one of our choirs! We’re always looking for new singers.
There are many opportunities for fun, such as group retreats and outings Choral Directors Mary Kay Babcock and Lindsey Lefler are the BEST – ask any choir member – you’ll have a blast and learn a ton. Premiere and Encore choir rehearsals take place on Wednesdays after school at Century High School.
You might wonder what it is like to audition! Most auditions will last less than 10 minutes. You will be asked to demonstrate your lowest useful note and your highest useful note via simple fun vocal exercises, you will sing back three note phrases to test your ability to retain pitch. Lastly, you’ll be invited to sing a familiar song in your range.
Note: Auditions are not required for the Prelude Choir (grades K – 4). Prelude choir rehearsals take place after school on Mondays at Century High School.
